Things To Do
Sandbridge serves up an ocean of activities - take your pick! You can canoe or kayak, go boating, sailing, water-skiing or jet skiing, bike, hike or rollerblade. Head for the ocean to surf, swim, bodyboard, or get a volleyball game going on the beach.Hooked on fishing? Cast your line in the surf or off Little Island Park's fishing pier, open 5:30 am - 11 pm daily. If you prefer calmer waters, head for Back Bay.
Set for tennis? Little Island Park offers two free public courts which are lighted 'til 10 pm nightly; also, a number of rentals include tennis courts.
If you're a golfer, welcome to heaven. Three great courses are close by: Hell's Point, just five minutes away; Heron Ridge; and Virginia Beach National .
Little Island Park is a great family spot with the largest public beach in Sandbridge and is lifeguarded in season. There's also a playground for the kids, fishing pier, covered picnic area, basketball and lighted tennis courts, bath houses and lots of parking. Here, you can catch a tram to tour Back Bay National Wildlife Park.
There's also a lifeguarded beach at 2500 Sandfiddler Road. It is located across from public parking and a bath house.
